Fatyak™ attend the National Watersports Festval

Fatyak™ Kayaks attend the National Watersport Festival for the first time!

A glorious sunny weekend back in September saw us attending the NWF Festival in Hayling Island along with our demo fleet of lovely Fatyak™ Kaafus. These were out on the water all day with people having a go and enjoying the water, resulting in many people going away from a day at the beach with a Fatyak™ in tow!

This was the first year for the kayak discipline has been included with the Wind Surfing, Kite Surfing, SUP and Surfing. Fatyak™ Kayaks had a great weekend meeting all of our customers and converting a few more!

NWF 2014 has been provisionally booked for 5 – 7 September in the beautiful spot of Hayling Island see http://www.nationalwatersportsfestival.com/

Hope to see you all next year 🙂

Rental Fleet Review

Our UK manufactured Fatyak™ Kayaks have been getting about of late, we have sent many rental fleets out this year following the success of the Olympics 2012 many people now want to get out and paddle on the water. And why not? The Fatyak™ Kaafu is a perfect for the rental market – tough , stable and easy to paddle even for the complete novice. Don’t just take our word for it…..

As you can imagine, our Fat Yak hire fleet gets very used and abused. They spend all day getting bumped and scraped up and down the rocks and pebbles on Worthing Beach and then they have to sit in the blazing sun for hours on end covered in salt water. Despite all of this, we are always amazed to see how each kayak still looks so good at the end of each day. The colours are always fresh and the toughness of the hulls means that even after extensive use there are only very minor abrasions to the underside but nothing more serious than that. We’ve even accidentally dropped a few of them from the top bunk of our kayak trailer straight onto the shingle beach and they literally just bounce!

So, if you live in the UK and your beach is mostly rocks and shingle like ours then these are definitely the kayaks for you.
